The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and regulations will commence in Western Australia on March 31, 2022. It marks a historic day for Western Australia and the McGowan Government after 38 years, WA’s work health and safety laws will be modernised.

The Workplace Safety Legislation and Other Matters Amendment Act 2022 came into effect on 16 March 2022, enabling WorkSafe Victoria to prevent and respond to workplace safety concerns and improve outcomes for injured workers and their families.
